NEW! Joint Professional Practice Model for Evidence-Based Nursing Practice

TSNRP funded this evidence-based practice (EBP) project titled Developing an Evidence-Based Joint Military Nursing Professional Practice Model (Grant#11052- N21-17). The National Defense Authorization Act 702 of 2017 mandates the transfer of the administration of Service-specific Military Treatment Facilities to the Defense Health Agency. This transition created an opportunity to develop a joint professional practice model (JPPM), outlined in these videos, that will shape Joint Service nursing care. The JPPM outlines standards for each component of the model: EBP, Healthy Work Environment, Leadership, Operational Readiness, Introduction to the Model, and Quality & Safety.

Project Lead: LTC Patricia Hodson, DNP

Associate Investigators: COL Lozay Foots III, DNP; COL Pauline Swiger, PhD; Dr. Patricia Patrician, PhD, COL(ret); COL Wendy Krull, DNP; CDR Terri Jandron, MSN; Dr. Mary McCarthy; Maj Veronica Perry, MSN; and LT Katherine Robins, MSN.
